Helldiver 2 GantzTheDemon Drama Explained

It all started when Helldiver 2 player GantzTheDemon decided to betray his fellow comrades. They would join in on a mission, stay until extraction, and then kill everyone on their team. Which, of course, goes against both the comradery and spirit of the game. This upset the impacted players so much that they decided to share the video online to warn fellow Hell Divers, and quickly spread around that this was what the player was doing on various social media channels.

It wasn’t long until there was a game-wide hunt for GantzTheDemon. Players online were at first confused as to whether this was a real thing that was actually happening or a bit of a joke. But soon after, they were collaborating, discussing where their current whereabouts were, and attacking him and killing him on sight. What started as one player participating in bad faith became a manhunt, unlike anything that had been seen before. And what could be a more beautiful thing than this? A whole community coming and working together and displaying what cooperative play is all about.

In fact, one has to wonder if GantzTheDemon will ever be able to play Helldivers 2 again now that his name is well known by the majority of Helldivers 2 players and beyond. It seems that every single time that they will attempt to play in the future, they will be met with the same grizzly fate. In the end, that’s one more victory for the right side of history.
